I'd love to be surprised, regardless of who wins. I used to lament the lesser of two evils, but having lived through the greater of two evils for 8 years I have humbly changed my tune. The sad fact of the matter is, in the face of a completely incompetent candidate who lost the popular vote, the voters still voted him in for a second term. And now these same people who elected a failed administration that entrenched us in an un-winnable and enormously expensive war are going to choose between [republican man] and either a non-male or a non-"white".
The very sad fact of the matter is, most of the country is racist and sexist and in the face of either of the Democratic candidates, would reelect Bush a third time if they could. Whether or not the Democratic candidates are qualified, I'd love to see one of them win just to set the precedent that it can be done. I'm just not sure I believe it can yet.

Rick, how the hell have you been since "whatever the hell that name of a company was" we were at about 5 years ago? I am so tired of the right wing (and the trying to look and appease the left wing) could we just have a big "do-over"?
